Carlo Herpoel is a visual artist and chair of Belgium Aid. Creativity, commitment and attention to what is often overlooked are central to both roles.
Art as a new perspective
Discarded materials and found objects are the starting point for assemblages, glass objects, plastic art and tarpaulin art. Things that once served another purpose acquire new meaning in his work.
Humanity as a driving force
Alongside his artistic work, Carlo is committed to humanitarian assistance through Belgium Aid. Practical solidarity, volunteers and cooperation are at the heart of this work.
